Code Compliance
New Construction Code Compliance
Blower Door Testing
All new construction homes in Massachusetts must pass a stringent air tightness test. The test is based on the conditioned volume of the space and the project may require additional sealing or preparation to meet the required threshold.
Deliverables
We conduct the air tightness test and provide a compliance report for the building department. We can also provide consulting and experienced advice on high impact areas that may need to be sealed to pass the test. This can be done over the phone based on plan reviews, coupled with our field experience or during an on-site walk thru.
Duct Testing
All new residential duct systems require a tightness test. The test can be conducted at the conclusion of the job, but we recommend that code compliance duct testing be done after the system is roughed in, before the drywall is installed.
Deliverables
We conduct the duct tightness test and provide a compliance report for the building department. We can also provide troubleshooting and consulting services based on our years of field experience.
